The Biological Anthropology Lab consist of over 7000 skeletons unearthed from excavaions, dated to different periods from Neolithic to 20th century, among Anatolia. The studies concerning dental health, paleodemography, paleopathology, burrial customs, genetic relations and molecular anthropology examinations are carried out on those ancient human skeleton remains. The laboratory is aviable between 09.00 – 17.00 o’clock during Fall and Spring semesters. However, since the staff participate the excavations during summer time, the labarotary is generally closed. Volunteer graduate and undergradate students can conduct studies in the lab. The students have the opportunity to practice their teoric knowledge under the supervision of academic staff. Moreover, the volunteer students can participate the excavations if they have required qualifications.
